The Mural Is Finished
On May 30, 50+ volunteers — kids, parents, alumni, retirees, and folks who just live nearby — brought the wall to life together (thanks to all, and to Lovett Deconstruction for scaffolding and prep). A final push on July 25 brought it home. Come see it along the field!

This summer, the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood painted its community mural at Abernethy Elementary — a Portland public school that turned 100 last year. On May 30, more than 50 volunteers of all ages brought roughly 80% of the wall to life in a day; a final session on July 25 brought it home.
